The campsite

L'ayguelade, 3 star campsite

Preserving nature and the well-being of our holidaymakers

There is no air-conditioning, no foam parties, no loudspeakers in the alleys, no lights at night... But the shade of the big trees and the coolness of the river, the nearby Gave d'Ossau, the singing of the birds, the unexpected visits of a vulture or an owl, the discovery of the fauna and flora, the simplicity and the conviviality. Everything is done to facilitate exchanges between you but also to preserve your rest.

We take nature's side, as much as possible, we choose to live with it and to promote the local area: the widest possible communication on local producers, good deals and restaurants nearby, the activities of our neighbours and partners.

We limit the lighting at night to let you admire the brightness of the stars, and at the same time, guess the life of the nocturnal animals.

We love little animals, and learn to live with them, we ban the use of chemicals on the plots, near the river and everywhere outside the sewage pipes.

Here we are committed to a minimum impact on the environment; we have chosen a green electricity supplier ("Énergie d'Ici") and use natural or eco-friendly labelled phytosanitary products. Your stay in the campsite commits you to respecting its charter and rules which were communicated to you when you made your reservation.

We cultivate trust and mutual respect: each one presents himself on arrival, makes sure not to drive a noisy vehicle when the campsite is asleep, takes care of his behaviour and that of his children and/or animals. Please leave the communal areas clean after your use, respect the equipment left at your disposal and respect the cleaning of the sanitary facilities.

Recoveries, recycling, a lot of creativity and your talented initiatives are gradually dressing up this campsite which is becoming a bit yours.

We invite you to participate actively: collect your food waste and put it in the compost, sort your bins, limit the use of drinking water, choose hygiene products that respect nature. We also ask you to take care of the grass, trees and plants on your site.

All pedestrians and cyclists benefit from a special rate.

Our campsite accepts group stays (from 8 people) subject to the availability of suitable pitches. Please make a reservation.

In July and August, in our snack bar, Patati-Patatate, we honour the local producers: vegetables, eggs, cheese, meat, drinks, ... we want to participate in the life of the valley and make you discover the flavours of the land. Our fries are washed, cut each morning, cooked in 2 baths of vegetable oil and served in generous cones: fresh product therefore exhaustible: think of reserving! One evening a week is especially devoted to the aperitif! A wine merchant will do the tasting, a food truck will accompany your drinks with its Central American cuisine and the terrace will allow you to make the moment last.
